We may have just celebrated a Lunar New Year, but Chinatown LA has been anything but sleepy since then. The best part: Blossom Plaza’s apartments In Chinatown, LA, are located in the center of the action!

Kicking off February 4 at 12:00 p.m. and running through 8:00 p.m. at Central Plaza, the Chinese New Year Festival will be just a short walk (and we do mean short!) from Blossom Plaza’s apartments in Chinatown and will feature a parade and The 5 Element “Villages”.
The five elements are: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Each element showcases unique talents which include: crafts, cooking, culture, martial arts and arts, respectively. Accompanying The Villages are LA’s ever-popular gourmet food trucks, live on-stage performances and an expansive market place.
As mentioned above, a vibrant parade will be taking place during the Chinese New Year Festival time. This parade is scheduled to kick off at 1:00 p.m., at the intersection of Hill Street and Orchard Street.
After enjoying the parade, attendees can swing by the festival’s marketplace for an ornate momentum to remember their enjoyment of the Golden Dragon Parade, one of LA’s longest running events!
Be sure to take note of street closers this weekend to avoid any traffic headaches!
In this active adventure, “teams will crack codes, solve challenging puzzles, uncover little-known facts and more… all while racing against other teams to be first to the finish with the most correct answers!”

Our favorite Firecracker is back! This long-standing, two-day charity event includes a 20+ and 30+ mile bike ride Saturday, February 11, and a 5K/10K Walk/Run Sunday, February 12. Participants of all ages are welcome and 100% of net proceeds go back into the enrichment of the local community. In addition to the races, there will be a Health & Fitness Expo and the Firecracker Festival.
